Frontier Networks is pleased to announce that we are now connected to the Equinix Carrier Ethernet Exchange.
Our Point of Interconnect for this is at both our New York 111 Location as well as our Seattle Westin Building Points of Presence (PoPs).
The Equinix Carrier Ethernet Exchange is where Ethernet buyers and sellers discover, transact and interconnect to each other. This means that our global reach has just increased exponentially into 17 additional markets in North America, Europe and Asia practically overnight.
The global Ethernet services market was almost $40B in 2014. A quarter of Ethernet services will be delivered off-network to customers through a network like what Frontier Networks offers in Canada. Connecting to this exchange allows us to inexpensively ‘connect’ our network to others internationally to create high speed, low cost links for your organization.
We are in the process of developing additional Ethernet exchange expansions and will report as each is signed.
The Equinix Carrier Ethernet Exchange is where Ethernet buyers and sellers discover, transact and interconnect to each other. By registering, Frontier now has access to providers in 17 markets in North America, Europe and Asia and 45 participants we are now talking to about delivering services for them in Canada.
